About

What Am I Currently Writing?

I am currently planning and writing a young adult fantasy series that may turn out to be Harry Potter meets steampunk. And that will continue to follow the same characters in an epic fantasy series. That’s the plan anyways! And plans have a way of going off-rail, colliding with other plans and going up in glorious flames! We’ll see…

About Me

I write science fantasy, weaving stories of adventures I imagine myself having. I aspire to write stories that inspire and change the world, one individual at a time. Because that’s who matters to me, the individual. But ultimately it does not matter to me if any of my books ever change the world, as long as my books are to that one individual what my favorite books were to me: an inspiration, a lifeline in the darkest of times! As long as my readers can go on an adventure in my stories, and come out refreshed, fueled and ready to take on the world. This is not escaping from life, this is reaffirming and recharging one’s values and life.

I am also a visual artist so when I’m not lost in the worlds I create through my writing, I am lost in the worlds I create with my paintings and the reading junk journals I design during my breaks! I am completely and proudly self-taught in all areas of visual and literary arts and am still learning! After quitting a PhD candidature in Physics, after getting two Master’s degrees in Maths and Physics.

Favorite Quotes

“Romantic art is the fuel and the spark plug of a man’s soul; its task is to set a soul on fire and never let it go out.”

Ayn Rand

“That which is not worth contemplating in life, is not worth re-creating in art.

Ayn Rand

“Misery, disease, disaster, evil, all the negatives of human existence, are proper subjects of study in life, for the purpose of understanding and correcting them—but are not proper subjects of contemplation for contemplation’s sake. In art, and in literature, these negatives are worth re-creating only in relation to some positive, as a foil, as a contrast, as a means of stressing the positive—but not as an end in themselves.”
